Dr. Jermaine N. Johnson is a native of Baltimore, MD where he attended various public and private schools before graduating from Mergenthaler Vocational Technical Senior High School. Dr. Johnson went on to matriculate at Eastern University in Saint David's, PA where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in the field of communication. Dr. Johnson earned his Masters of Divinity from the Northern Baptist Theological Seminary located in Lombard, IL. In addition to earning his Master's degree, he also received the Ian Chapman Leadership Award for outstanding student leadership.
Dr. Johnson earned his Doctor of Ministry Degree from the Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary located in Charlotte, NC. Dr. Johnson is 2013-14 Lewis Fellow Alum of the Wesley Theological Seminary located in Washington, D.C. In October of 2014, Dr. Johnson released his first book along with a workbook entitled, "The New Wine Experience - A Leadership Model of Church Planting in the African American Context of Ministry."
Dr. Johnson was licensed to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in July of 1998 at the First Mount Carmel Christian Community Church. In August of 2003, Pastor Johnson was ordained.
Before attending seminary, Dr. Johnson served as the Youth Pastor of The Emmanuel Christian Community Church in Baltimore, MD and The Mount Olive A.M.E Church in Annapolis, MD. Over the years of his ministry, Dr. Johnson has been faithful in his service to the Christian community, by serving throughout the United States, as well as the countries of Israel, Egypt, Nicaragua, and Thailand, all in an effort to meet the needs of God’s people all over the world.
Presently, Dr. Johnson serves as the Lead Pastor of The Word of Life Christian Community Church located in Randallstown, MD. Dr. Johnson is happily married to Michelle Darice and they are blessed with one daughter.
